JD LaRose a Canadian punk rock band formed in Quesnel BC Canada by multi-instrumentalist Jade Chantel LaRose originally as a solo act in 2012 until 2015 when Jade had come out as transgender and dropped JD from her name. Since 2015 the line up has been Jade Chantel LaRose and Crash Seymour with the exception of a few short term drummers. With an appetite for loud n' dirty rock n' roll, they bring their own style combined with the passion and energy of the 80's with amps set to kill and various lyrics the audience can relate to.

History

During her career she has started her own studio, released three studio albums, and started her second band EsAre67 while working on various guitars for various reasons. Since 2014 JD has almost always used JDRose or modified Fender guitars played through a Fender amp.

Beginnings and Formation 2012-2014

In 2012 Jade released her first solo album and another one in 2013 which she wrote and recorded in JDRose Studio. Jade had met Jared Wayne and X-Ray Gold in 2012 and the three of them later started a band. How ever the band did not last long and just played cover songs and jammed a little. Altho the band hasn't gotten together since 2013, X-Ray Gold and Jared Wayne have still been apart of JD LaRose's music both playing drums on separate songs until 2015.

In early 2013 she started playing drums for her band EsAre67 and had plans to released her third solo album in 2014. Since mid 2013 Jade has started experimenting with her sound and more specifically the wiring of her guitars. On May 20th JD announced new EP available June 20th and that would be available on bandcamp

Three months after releasing Sweet Child EP Jade with drummer X-Ray Gold performed at the Macktown Braingasm in Mackenzie BC on September 20th 2014 along with Prince George band Whiskey Fingers, Mackenzie bands Static Peace, Provoken and rapper Takito Lethal. After returning back to Quesnel JD went back to working on guitars after a 4 months of inactivity.

On November 14th 2014 it was announced JD LaRose with a fresh new bassist Matt Seymour would once again return to Mackenzie BC to perform at Rock Revolution along with Static Peace. Following the announcement JD released the compilation album Sweet Rose LP featuring songs from their previous 3 Albums aswell as 6 demos that will be on the new album scheduled for release in 2015.

In early 2015 Jade came out as transgender with the new name Jade Chantel LaRose. The band then later parted ways with drummer Jared Wayne (until he rejoined in August). In mid April JD LaRose announced their new album for release in June 2015. Later the same month the band announced they were playing Quesnels first ever Pride Parade where drummer Jared Wayne did not perform leading to his final release from the band. With a delayed album on their hands Jade played fill in drums for Nazko band Carrier Nation during Billy Barker Days. Afterwards JD LaRose got back into the studio where they started finishing up songs and trying out drummers. After months of searching for a drummer Jared had responded with an interest in rejoining the band. After two weeks of being drummer JD LaRose released the song Jagged Knife, the first co write between Crash Seymour and Jade Marie and sung by Crash. The song how ever is currently the only song to feature Jared on a finalized recording.
